Residence Nosticova will be closed from January 14, 2008 to July 1, 2008.

Residence Nosticova is, as the name might suggest, a residential hotel, with ten fully serviced self-contained apartments, located in a historic 17th-century building on a quiet cobblestone street in Prague's “Lesser Quarter,” the Mála Strana. The hotel has been meticulously renovated by some of Prague's top craftsmen, and it shows — this is the kind of elegant apartment living preferred by American film stars working in Hollywood's Prague annex.

The apartments vary in size, but all have kitchens and are decorated with antique furniture and artworks. Traditional hotel services such as laundry, maid service, and room service are available, and breakfast is served downstairs in the wine bar, but if you wish to be left alone, this can be easily accomplished. Therein lies the appeal for visiting stars, though mere mortals benefit as well, as the privacy (not to mention the setting) is nothing if not romantic, and apartment living is the best way to experience the authentic Prague — especially in such a charming neighborhood. This is an excellent place for families or large traveling parties as well, with apartments up to three bedrooms.

Prague Castle and the landmark Charles Bridge are nearby, as are a number of foreign embassies, as well as St. Nicholas' Cathedral, Kampa Park, and the National Theater. Mála Strana is home to innumerable restaurants and cafés, to alleviate the monotony of room service, as well as a great variety of nightlife options and cultural attractions.
