Clarion Collection Opera Pavillon (ex-Pavillon de Paris)
7, rue De Parme
Paris, France
Neighborhood: 9th Arr. (Opéra Garnier/Pigalle)
Style: Modern Design
Atmosphere: Lively
30 Rooms
In an elegant and contemporary design, the Pavillon de Paris opened its doors on December 24th 1999 after long months of renovation. Situated in the heart of Paris, where business and tourism flourishes, everything has been conceived to satisfy the needs of the modern businessman and the refined traveller. Unusual for a hotel aimed at corporate clientele, it manages to combine a degree of know-how with the work facilities and efficient service required by busy executives.
There are 30 rooms on 6 floors. The rooms are very quiet and equipped with fun and work accessories: web and satellite TV, direct dial phone and fax, modem points, minibar, soft towelling robes, fluffy slippers, candies, cookies and other goodies. The entrance to the hotel is charming with a nice and spacious lobby while the bar offers a large choice of drinks with a nice breakfast room in the mornings. Room service is available until midnight.
Nearby are Montmartre and the Sacré Coeur, the Moulin Rouge, the department stores of Layfayette and Printemps, Opéra Garnier, the Madeleine Church, Place de la Concorde, the Tuileries Gardens and the Louvre museum.

Overall rating: Good
I Liked
The decor was nice and the welcome champagne was a pleasant surprise. My little terrace and view added to the Parisian charm and experience.
What the hotel could do better
Room was quite close to the lift - when the lift door banged shut I could hear it in my room.

I Liked
Decor and style good; staff friendly and helpful.
What the hotel could do better
Room maintenance poor-- non working air conditioing in two rooms! Poor quality breakfast (stale pastry, packaged cheeses and CANNED fruit for breakfast!!). This is un acceptable, particularly in France and in summer when fruit is in season.

Location, staff was friendly, room was big enough.
What the hotel could do better
Only little thing was i needed to iron my clothes, and asked for a iron, and ironing board, the recptionist, said she could not finf the ironing board, does not know who has it, and never made the effort to find it, had to iron on my bed was not easy, but i made do, you would think a hotel with that many rooms would have more than 1 ironing board, all about service. but other than that all was great, Asst Mgr. Cristina was very nice, and helpful.

What the hotel could do better
We were initially a bit concerned about the location but it turned out to be very central, close to Galeries Lafayette and within walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. So actually, don't think we disliked anything about the hotel!

I Liked
We were attending a gig at La Loco on Boulevard de Clichy, so the hotel was ideally placed for a quick, safe late-night walk back.
The room (a double with twin beds) was small, as per most Parisian boutiques, but as a base for dumping our stuff and heading out to make the most of our brief time in the city it was fine.
What the hotel could do better
They had only set the room up for one person (one towel, one pillow treat etc) which was annoying because our reservation clearly stated 2 people occupying the room.
Other than that, nothing to complain about.
These reviews are posted exclusively by verified guests whose stays were booked through TabletHotels.com. We do encourage our clients to express their opinions, and what makes a hotel experience great is often something subjective, a matter of personal taste. At the same time, many of the hotels we list are extreme in one dimension or another, and are bound to disappoint somebody somewhere. These reviews are an excellent way to identify a hotel's particular quirks, and thereby avoid a poor hotel-guest match.
