Berlin is a city of many centers, or of no center at all — same thing, really, and in the end you’ve got to quit meditating on that seeming paradox and just pick a neighborhood. Old East Berlin is where you’ll find the cutting-edge nightlife, Mitte is the booming commercial center, and for shopping, particularly of the high-end designer variety, it’s hard to beat the Kurfürstendamm, West Berlin’s famous boulevard.
And just off the Ku’damm you’ll find the Hotel Concorde, a hotel that makes much of its tinge of Frenchness, but is, at bottom, distinctly German. Nowhere else do they have hotels quite like this — biggish, bigger than a boutique, and more businesslike too, yet still impeccably designed, contemporary in style, and loaded with paintings and sculptures by contemporary German artists, from the public spaces on up to the rooms.
We all love tiny, intimate boutiques, but bigger can be better, when it means access to big-hotel amenities: the Concorde has not one but two restaurants, including a traditional French brasserie, as well as a lobby bar, a well-equipped business center, a fitness room and a full-service spa. There’s something to be said for exclusivity, sure; but there’s something marvelously egalitarian about a hotel can be stylish and at the same time so practical and unpretentious.
The location is excellent, the service is great. The staff are very welcoming, the rooms are large and the breakfasts are excellent. I have stayed in all the hotels that you have listed in Berlin and I always go back to the Concorde for the location, value and service. I like too that they have Annick Goutal products in the bathrooms. I cant really fault this hotel for price and value.

Nothing really except they could probably improve the foyers; there is no place warm and inviting for your guests to sit and wait for you.
The hotel was very well located, the room was spacious and service was friendly and efficient. I was very impressed and would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to friends and/or colleagues.

The scores are based on responses to our feedback survey, which is sent automatically to every user after the completion of a hotel stay booked through Tablet Hotels. We receive responses every day, the scores change accordingly - in real-time.
This way we can be absolutely certain of the integrity of the rating process - on some travel websites, there is nothing preventing the General Manager from giving his own hotel a perfect score, or the concierge from across the street, posing as a dissatisfied guest, giving his competitor all zeros. You have probably seen questionable user reviews on other websites, whether flowery advertising copy written by fake guests, or vague negative attacks written anonymously. You will not see any of this on Tablet Hotels.
How does a hotel remain a Tablet Hotel?
We have selected nothing but the most unique and extraordinary properties from around the world, but circumstances at individual hotels can change quickly. Therefore it is up to our customers to inform us if one of our properties has taken a turn for the worse. The Tablet Hotels Meter works on a 20-point scale, and for a hotel to keep its place on Tablet Hotels, the magic number is 15.
This is not just an arbitrary figure; we have two years' worth of data, from past user feedback, and we have found that the hotels whose scores drop below 15 are those experiencing recurring problems, and guest detailed reports reflect the same serious concern, whether it be service, room quality, noise or something else.
The Tablet Hotels Meter will not display a score until we have had at least two customers rate the hotel. This way one person's unfortunate stay cannot carry too much weight. And once five guests have returned their verdicts, the rating becomes a more scientific measure of the opinion of the average guest. At this point, if the hotel's average overall score drops below 15, the hotel will be automatically removed from the site.
Your opinion really does count; in this case, it is the only thing keeping the hotels you visit on the site. On a more positive note, the hotels with top scores are featured in our "Tablet 10" lists. And as a side benefit, this system will encourage hotels to extend their best level of service to Tablet Hotels users - we turn every Tablet Hotels client into a reviewer!

Hotel reviews are restricted to verified guests who booked their stays through TabletHotels.com. Likewise, travel recommendations must be based on first-hand experience. No recommendations or reviews written by owners or managers posing as guests, or by current or past employees, or second-hand hearsay from others. If your friend/cousin/neighbor has something to contribute then you should invite them to join the community so that they may share their opinions themselves.
We do not allow recommendations to be written based on incentives from property owners/management.
