The gardens are pint-sized, but then again so is the hotel. Paris is a city where a little greenery goes a long way, and it’s impossible to overstate the sense of expansiveness Les Jardins de la Villa’s little courtyard garden lends to this thirty-three-room boutique hotel, a few blocks off the Arc de Triomphe end of the Champs Elysées — and, for business travelers who disdain full-scale business hotels, right next to the Palais des Congrès and quite close to La Défense.
It’s not all gardens and Parisian streets — what’s inside the building is impressive as well. The floor plan is faithful to the historic architecture, resulting in some memorable spatial touches, like the canted exterior walls of the rooms up under the eaves. This also means the square footage isn’t exactly infinite, but in Paris, what else is new — some judiciously chosen high-end furnishings and fixtures make up in comfort what they lack in sheer elbow room. It’s a visual style that incorporates a healthy dose of tradition, but the end product is unquestionably contemporary. A well-equipped gym and a steam bath and sauna are unexpected bonuses, normally quite out of the question in Parisian hotels of this size.

What I liked:
Exercise and saunas were very pleasant. Rooms a good size for Paris.
What the hotel could do better:
Not their fault, but the location is not so great for tourists. You have to take a metro or bus pretty much anywhere. I picked it for proximity to business.

What I liked:
Great location close to Metro and great restaurants.
What the hotel could do better:
Service was not great. Front desk wanted to dodge interaction v. actually try to help you. Concierge made the wrong restaurant reservation. people in general just appear as though they want to "punt" any request or issue that arises.
