Les Suites Taipei Da-an
135 Da An Road Sec 1
Taipei, Taiwan
Style: Modern Design
Atmosphere: Lively
59 Rooms
Though conveniently located right in the middle of downtown, surrounded by the shopping, business, and entertainment districts of Chung Hsiao and Dun Hua roads, Les Suites Taipei Da-an is a cozy and intimate boutique hotel, a worthy alternative to the city’s many enormous business hotels.
Rooms are handsome and contemporary, vaguely Art Deco, in a palette of muted earth tones with wood paneling and some wood floors. The furnishings and style walk a delicate line, far superior to the beige business-hotel norm, yet never verging on designer-showroom ostentatiousness. As for amenities, no corners are cut, with flat-screen televisions and heavy down comforters as standard, and above all, there’s no shortage of space; the doubles are remarkably expansive, and suites hide a generous bedroom behind a sliding partition.
Clubby and personal aren’t words commonly used to describe the atmosphere in Far East business hotels, which is why Les Suites is such a refreshing contrast. There are hotels in Taipei where you can expect a grander treatment and more frighteningly obsequious service, but there aren’t many places that combine this sort of low-key charm with such comfortable surroundings. And this laid-back feeling isn’t a result of some outer-suburbs location—any number of the glamorous restaurants and nightspots of the new Taipei are within easy reach, as is the World Trade Center and some of the best shopping in town.
Kids:
Guests over the age of 12 are considered adults. Some rooms accommodate 3 or more. The "Corner Suite , Deluxe Suite, Deluxe Twin" room sleeps up to 3 guests. For crib/cot, must book "Superior Room" room or larger. For 2 adults + rollaway bed, must book "Deluxe Room" or larger. For 2 adults + 2 kids beyond crib age, must book "Corner Suite, Deluxe Suite" room or larger.
Cribs are available and may be subject to an additional fee. Roll-away beds available for an additional fee of TWD1450. Extra charge in addition to crib/roll-away cost id TWD300
There are no babysitting or daycare services available.

The most friendly and courteous staff of any hotel I have ever stayed at. The location is clean, convenient and quiet. I loved the little lounge/library downstairs and wish I had more time to relax there. The travel books and newspapers were useful and the computers they set up for us in the evening were especially so.
What the hotel could do better
Nothing; Had a wonderful stay!

It is located near the MRT and very central to the areas I like in Taipei. The staff is excellent, they go beyond the normal things the staff do. Free wifi in the downstairs area and free internet upstairs. It is not the fanciest hotel but it is very comfortable.
What the hotel could do better
It doesn't have a spa and I must go find one in the neighborhood.

This is now my third stay at the Les suites and I have never been disappointed. The staffs are outstanding and cannot do enough to help you. I arrived in the early hours and they managed to have me checked an hour or so after my arrival. After a long and tiring flight I had an upgraded room in less than two hours. When I departed for Australia it was like leaving old friends and I decided to re book on my return. My return was without exception: outstanding and my room was extended for a late departure. Without a doubt one of the best hotels I have stayed at and the only place I will stay at when in Taipei.
What the hotel could do better
Sadly saying goodbye to the wonderful staff.....

The staff are very friendly and amazingly helpful and bi-lingual. It is off the beaten path but taxis were easy to get. It is a simple but elegant place. Free WiFi and free internet computers. Centrally located near MRT stops. The breakfast was included and delicious.

Nothing. It was great. I wish more of my hotel experiences were this good.

These reviews are posted exclusively by verified guests whose stays were booked through TabletHotels.com. We do encourage our clients to express their opinions, and what makes a hotel experience great is often something subjective, a matter of personal taste. At the same time, many of the hotels we list are extreme in one dimension or another, and are bound to disappoint somebody somewhere. These reviews are an excellent way to identify a hotel's particular quirks, and thereby avoid a poor hotel-guest match. But remember: if a hotel's overall customer rating falls lower than 15 out of 20, the hotel will be removed from our listings.
