Mamaison All-Suites Spa Hotel Pokrovka Moscow

Pokrovka str. 40, Building 2

Moscow, Russia

Style: Contemporary Classic

Atmosphere: Lively

84 Rooms

These days the first image that springs to mind about Moscow isn’t the scale of its monuments so much as the scale of its wealth. Those with the means in post-Soviet Russia are making up for lost time, consuming as conspicuously as possible. So the time is right for a place like the MaMaison Pokrovka Suite Hotel, a spanking-new 84-suite luxury boutique in a location that’s as central as it’s logically possible to be in the enormous Russian capital.

All the suites are shamelessly rich, more like luxury apartments than hotel rooms. The Juniors are big enough, with huge spa-like bathrooms and all the modern bells and whistles. One- and two-bedrooms are downright sprawling, some with kitchenettes or jacuzzis. And we’ll spare you the description of the twin Presidential suites or the top-of-the-range Chairman suite — if you’re booking one of these, then even your assistant is too important to read all the way to the bottom of the second paragraph.

There’s a spa by Algotherm that spreads over two floors, complete with indoor swimming pool, and the Numbers restaurant is a spinoff of the successful Doucet XO. Simply put, the MaMaison Pokrovka is one of the most luxurious lodgings in a city that’s no stranger to luxury — Moscow has been, by some measures, the world’s most expensive city for a couple of years running.

Visa Information for Russia

Most travelers to Russia need to obtain a Visa from their local Russian Consulate prior to departure. Applying for a Tourist Visa is easier and cheaper than applying for a Business Visa. This can be a frustrating process so allow at least 10 days prior to departure to apply.

The process can only start after you make a Hotel Reservation. You will need a Certificate/Voucher from the hotel where you have a confirmed reservation in hand before you can go to the Consulate to apply for a visa. This Certificate/Voucher will be faxed or emailed to you by the hotel.

As soon as you have your Confirmation from TabletHotels.com, please contact customer service. We will assist you in obtaining the Certificate/Voucher from the hotel for your visa application.
