Stage 47

Resolve a little linguistic ambiguity and suddenly it’s perfectly clear what Stage 47 is all about: not the 47th stage of some process, but rather a design-conscious modern boutique hotel dedicated to the theatre arts, whose address at Graf-Adolf-Strasse 47 places it in the very same building as Düsseldorf’s Savoy Theatre and its Atelier Kino cinema. For obvious reasons, then, it’s a favorite with the theatrical set, and not incidentally a big hit among serious shoppers as well, as the Königsallee, one of Europe’s best-known upscale retail districts, lies yards away.

The rooms take several strides away from the blankness of hotel minimalism, livening their clean lines with almost baroque patterns and textures.
