With just shy of a hundred and fifty rooms, it would be pushing it to call the Mandeville a “boutique” hotel. But more than many high-end hotels, it’s got an aesthetic all its own. Call it a design hotel, but one for fashion designers, not architects and other monochrome types. These pleasant pastels are immediately distinctive, and more welcoming than the standard beige and gray, though they’re swimming against the tide a bit when it comes to the London-bred taste for clubby, masculine spaces — the only thing masculine about the Mandeville is the first syllable of its name.
The bedrooms aren’t enormous, but they are exceedingly plush, with the kind of bathrooms you won’t mind spending time in, and the kind of bath products you’ll want to stow away for use at home. Ultimately it’s not quite the traditional luxury hotel, where you’ll hole yourself up to hide away from the paparazzi or something like that — but it’s not really meant to be anyway. Here you’ll sleep in comfort before a day on the town, which chances are includes a stop at Selfridges. Just make sure to stop back in for tea — the Mandeville’s afternoon tea service is possibly its best-known feature, aside from the location.
How to get there:
The Mandeville Hotel is convenient to the Bond Street tube station. If you’re arriving from Heathrow Airport, the most convenient transfer option to central London is the Heathrow Express train, which leaves Heathrow Airport every 15 minutes and takes 15 minutes to arrive at Paddington Station. One-way fares are available from £18, and round-trip fares from £32. The Mandeville Hotel is approximately a 45-minute black-cab ride from London's Heathrow Airport (depending on traffic) and can cost upwards of £50.

What I liked:
i loved the paintings in the lobby. i liked most of the interior finishes. location was perfect
What the hotel could do better:
room service could have been way better. had to keep requesting simple things like towels and soap as the house keeping failed to attend to that. i also asked management about an art piece in the lobby and they never contacted me back with that regards. very disappointing. some croissants and sugary goods would have added the perfect finish to that amazing entrance would grab you in from the rain in whiff! at ;east that is what my head tells me would improve it

What I liked:
I enjoyed the service. The staff allowed us to check in early and the room was clean and neat. Small rooms, very tight quarters, but comprehensive. They also allowed us a later check-out time, which was much appreciated.
What the hotel could do better:
Nothing, had a wonderful stay!
