About The Pelham Hotel:
The Pelham Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel located in the South Kensington district of central London. Guests at The Pelham will enjoy the hotel's proximity to the Victoria & Albert and Natural History Museums, Harrods, Hyde Park and the shops of Knightsbridge and Chelsea. Bistro 15, The Pelham Hotel's restaurant, is open daily and serves modern European cuisine.
Tablet Hotels review:
The Pelham is a fine alternative to the flash and preciousness of some of London’s more overtly designed boutique hotels—it can be exhausting to spend time in a place that is striving so hard to be cool, and in contrast, it’s utterly refreshing to stay somewhere a little more restrained, a little more secure in itself.
The vibe is plainly country house, transplanted to busy South Kensington: an idea which in itself implies some level of gimmickry, but is in fact carried off with a natural ease. It’s no country house theme park—the rustic touches are judiciously applied, mixing contemporary pieces with antiques, and steering well clear of 19th-century fussiness.
Bedrooms are individually designed (must be an obscure London regulation) but all are richly decorated in a similar grand yet tasteful style. Modern equipment abounds as well, from broadband internet to mobile phones, and the television—long the bane of hotel room decorators—is discreetly hidden. Expect marble bathrooms, of course, but with added charms like heated towel bars and Molton Brown amenities.
The location is easily half the appeal, as the Victoria & Albert and Natural History museums are close by, as are Harrods and the Knightsbridge shops. This convenient situation makes the Pelham’s bar and restaurant a popular stop not just for tourists but for Londoners as well, and if you haven’t seen enough of him already you may spy the likes of Hugh Grant stopping in for a meal. South Kensington tube station is steps away, which means relatively easy access to Heathrow and anywhere else—hard to believe this country charmer is so close to the heart of the city.

The location is great in South Kensington and very, very close to the South Kensington tube. Charming small hotel with nice rooms, nice public spaces, and access to a laptop in one of the public areas.
What the hotel could do better
The rooms are a bit small and the air conditioning was not the greatest but it was unusually hot when I was in London.

We love South Kensington and always stay in the area. This was our first time at the Pelham but we have friends who loved it. We understand why now.
What the hotel could do better
Rooms are too small. Charge for internet (I hate this especially when they charge per computer).

The rooms were pleasant, well decorated. The bathrooms were also well equipped and stylish. Good price, and I liked the boutique nature of the hotel. Also its proximity to the tube was very much appreciated.
What the hotel could do better
I had the 3rd floor room by the elevator and you could hear the elevator every time it was called. While the hotel was fully booked my 1st night, they did offer to switch me the 2nd night (I declined because of the inconvenience).

In a word, delightful. Location, ambience, service, elegant rooms, the hotel had it all. I was particularly pleased at the spaciousness of the rooms. While I was only once person, a couple could easily feel at home at the Pelham.
