  1. “I had a very enjoyable stay at the Dylan. The rooms & common areas are very stylish and appealing, the service very helpful and friendly, and the location fantastic. My only complaints are 1) the rooms could use more functional features such as towels bars and a hook to hang a bathrobe, plus brighter lighting 2) shower: get rid of the curtain!! and 3) greater attention to service in the bar area - I had to search out someone to order drinks and to ask for the check. But all in all, I loved my stay and would definitely return!”

  2. “The Dylan is an excellent small hotel. The only drawback was that construction was taking place and one had to negotiate a rather cramped stairway up to the 2nd floor [not great for my pregnant wife]. The service, however, was perfect and gracious. The rooms [ours had a view of the canal, but also of the construction site] are stylishly appointed, with the hallways tantalizingly leaving no hint as to what lays within. I would give this an extremely high recommendation, and we will be staying there again on our next trip to Amsterdam.”

  4. “While the common areas were well-appointed and the staff helpful, our room was tattered and worn. The bias towards modernity left much to be desired in as the sink and bath designs were inconvenient and difficult to negotiate. Equally frustrating was the bevy of light switches, most of which we found non-functional. Overall, we were quite disappointed and found the hotel to be significantly over priced.”

  5. “j'avais déjà séjourné au Dylan 18 mois auparavent . Depuis , les chambres sont un peu moins bien entretenues et les nouveaux aménagements du lounge et bar moins agréables. Mais il reste un hotel très agréable .”

  6. “Generally the hotel met with our expectations how ever we was very disapointed that the resturant was closed to residends on the Saturday evening of our stay due to an outside function. The staff booked a table for us in a resturant nearby and whilst the food was excelent the service was very very slow.”

  8. “I rated the service good, but that is an average. The bartender in the bar was attentive and friendly after the first evening. (I stayed for 4 nights) But I was disappointed in the room staff as they were inconsistent in leaving linens, water, amenities, etc. I asked twice for a down/feather pillow from housekeeping AND the concierge. Never received it. Other requests from the concierge were attented to and answered. So that was good as well. Design and comfort wise the rooms have a lot to be desired. I am a designer myself and make sure my ego and the design I create is consumer right”

  9. “The Dylan is great small boutique hotel. The rooms are a little on the small side and in places the hotel errs on the visually impressive over the functional but I still highly recommend the hotel and will stay there again. The service and food are excellent and you don't feel like you are in a hotel but a guest at someone's nice town house in Amsterdam.”

  11. “The bathrooms are so annoying in this hotel, to put in the plug you have to step into the bath as it is inaccessible from the side! Also the basin has no tap, only a hole where the water flows out so to get water on your toothbrush you have to hold it against the side of the basin which is not very hygenic. Otherwise lovely and very helpful staff.”
