  1. “We brought our 10-month oldson and the Peninsula was extremely accommodating and helpful. In addition to a baby cot, they provided a little welcome package for our son including a full line of baby wash, moisturisers, and a plush toy.”

  3. “I requested a non-smoking room, when I arrived at the room, staff was still cleaning. I noticed there were ashes around the bedside table and cigarette buds in the bin. The room smells horrible. I told the front desk what happened and they told me to wait another 30 minutes for them to prepare another room for me. I have a business meeting to attend, so I told them I couldn't wait. They didn't even bother to call back during my 2 night stay. I was dissapointed with how they deal with the situation, being one of the best hotel in Beijing.”

  5. “i liked the very seamless melding of modern decor touches with chinois motifs. i loved all the luxury boutiques in the lobby and the hotel arcade. the restaurants' decor are stylish in a most unobstrusive way. and the food in jing and hua ting are delicious! housekeeping was very prompt, with our endless requests for things like more mineral water, new bath mats, and so on. plus when the wireless service got spotty, the duty manager immediately came to the room to help me figure things out. the shoe shining service was quite excellent as well. one taxi driver told us as we got out, 'this is the top hotel in beijing.' couldn't top that description.”

Staff is very helpful and I had the best Peking duck in their chinese restaurant downstairs. The Spa is beautiful and treatments wonderful - a bliss after a hectic day in this big city.I had a package including airport transfer which worked out perfectly. A very good deal for three wonderful nights in a great hotel.”

  12. “The room was very nice and the location was good for our base in touring beijing, although there are not many good restaurants near the hotel. We ended up eating at the hotel restaurant Jing by default several nights. The food was good, but it was a buffet and pricey for Beijing, so it did not feel particularly special. We found that the Hutong areas by qianhai lake had much more interesting restaurants and bars. We will stay closer to this area Next time we are in Beijing.”
