  2. “the owner Gart is a gem. the rooms are clean and cute--would definitely request the yellow or blue room next time. the white room wasn't as punchy, but the color in the bath made up for it. the hotel is beautifully decorated and the breakfast room is amazing. their recommendations and general helpfulness were appreciated.”

  5. “I loved the mixture of modern, old and quirky decor, art work and furnishings around the hotel and in the room. The place was spotlessly clean and the hosts and staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. It was like staying with friends. It will be a definite place to refurn for me when next in Berlin.”

  6. “The rooms are well appointed, clean and very, very quiet! The hosts are friendly and helpful. The location is terrific, within easy walking distance of the metro. If you arrive by car, the parking garage across the street is secure and not too expensive 15 euros for 24 hours - or you can purchase a street parking pass from the front desk for 4 euros! We were travelling with our two children, age 5 and 3, they loved riding the "old fashioned" elevator to the main entrance of the hotel. We plan to stay here again.(Great sushi restaurant in the ground floor of the building.)”

  7. “The people who run this hotel are very nice. My room had a nice view overlooking the courtyard and was plenty spacious and very clean. The price was right and the honor bar was a nice feature. It is located in a nice neighborhood - not close to any of the tourist must-see's, but it does give a more genuine exposure to Berlin than staying in a big chain hotel. Free wi-fi is a plus.”

  12. “The design is fine, if a bit frenetic. Definitely reflects the personalities of the owners. Breakfast was terrific, bountiful, varied in a bright front room facing the street. Owners were very kind and helpful with local neighborhood information. A pleasant, gemuetlich, knick-knacky kind of place.”
