A beautiful hotel. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. The staff are wonderful; courteous but not obtrusive. The facilities, and spa in particular, are delightful. The one disadvantage is the location - there is a limited amount to see and do in the immediate area.
Great place - we will return.
A little slice of heaven on earth. Incredible setting; impeccably maintained. Absolutely loved the experience.
L'Andana is simply mind blowing. Excellent value for money, gorgeous surroundings, fantastic service, the best food compared against the last month of Crete, London, Nice, Florence, Positano and Paris. We stayed at the Negresco in Nice, Blakes in London, Lungarno in Florence, Le Sirenuse in Positano and De Crillion in Paris. Easily the best hotel by far.
We do travel extensively in the world and I must say I have not had such a disappointing experience in a very long time. What one expects from the reviews is the absolutely best service, incredible and magical experience and what we got was the exact opposite. It started with simply bad service at the famous one Michelin star Trattoria of Monsieur Ducasse-food was excellent; service was simply bad (one should not wait for 15-20 minutes to order food or wine; one should not sit at a table looking at empty dishes and one certainly should not be aksed personal question as to where are you from when trying to make some constructive comments to the manager about the retaurant being understaffed). We got back to our room only to find our door open! It happened not once, not twice, but three times during two days that we were there - whenever we were returning from an outing or dinner our doors to the room would be open!!! This is despite assurances that "the problem with the door" was fixed. Not one gesture from the management of this fine establishment to ease the situation neither at the Tratorria (maybe Jonathan should work in Paris not in friendly Italy) nor at the hotel. We decided to cut our stay short after two nights and only when we were ready to leave the General Manager came to talk to us. At least he was understanding at the very end and he admitted that the situation has snowballed out of control and he was at the end generous trying to improve this sad experience. What was supposed to be a three night highlight of our vacation turned out to be a total disaster. Andre and Kim, New York
