  1. “No. 5 Maddox isn't for everyone but I loved it. It's basically a small apartment and a great space with no public amenities like a grand lobby (ore elevator) or hotel bar. I think for a seasoned traveller who knows London, I don't think you can beat the location and the space of the room at 5 Maddox. They had the kitchen stocked, sent a welcome tray of ground coffee and assorted items and when I had questions or needed outside services like a hired car, everything was addressed with great, service. I go to London 4x per year and will try to stay at Maddox from now on but it depends on rate.”

  4. “I found no. 5 Maddox St. good. However, three things marred my stay: (i) i was asked for full payment of the three nights i had booked up front upon checking in, although i had submitted a credit card when making the reservation; (ii) even though i had specifically asked for a quiet room, i was given a noisy & cold street-facing suite w. a tiny bed, and managed a change the 2nd night only after having complained, and after an attempt to make me pay an upgrade; (iii) i requested (and was given) late checkout, but then refused it the next day, wit another attempt to charge me an extra half day.”

  6. “It is so near the shops of Regent St and Bond St. I went out shopping straight away, and it was wonderful to be so near to drop my shopping off. In fact they took my bags from me at Reception, and when I arrived back later, they had put them in my suite for me.The cool and modern decor, which was obviously well thought out. I had an ipod docking station which I hooked up staight away, and I logged on to my laptop as soon as I checked in. I borrowed 3 of the DVD's from the brilliantly stocked library. The flat screen TV's are really large and I enjoyed an evening of relaxation after all the shopping. The staff helped me choose them, and also recommended I try the Thai Restaurant downstairs - Patara - in the end he ordered me room service from them and it was delicious and fast.I also loved the feel of Frette cotton sheets and the linen kimonos. The staff reserved a table for lunch on the Monday at nearby Hibiscus - it's the first time I've managed to get in. It was a business trip but it felt like a real treat. I will definitely stay there next time I visit London.”

  7. “It's a very up to date hotel in maddox street, which is in the neighbourhood of Mayfair and just across the road from Regent, Oxford and Bond Street, the 'shopping Mecca'. The busy Soho is just crossing the road. Even so, you can smell the quietness in the hotel, which only has 12 amazing suites (they offer me to be shown round to some of them), but not only this, you can also smell the amazing candles they light all day to make you not want to leave the hotel. Let me just say about the suites the value for money it's fantastic, you get a one bedroom suite for a much lower rate than a bedroom in any of the other 5* I've stayed in London, anyway, I would pay wathever they ask me for just to be able to enjoy their Ren products and linen kimonos, instead of the horrible bath robs, again. I was delighted about the decoration af the suite, I just didn't want to miss any detail, they certainly put a lot of thought on trying to make your life very easy while you are there. They booked a nice car to pick me up from the airport, they did a grocery shopping for me, book tickets for the opera and get me into one of the best French restaurants in the city with such a short notice, just the perfect evening.I was treated like if I were the most special guest in the world. I just want to say thank you very much!!!I will make No.5 Maddox Street my second home now.”

  9. “This is a great hotel for those who don't want to feel like they are in a hotel. And that's exactly why I loved staying there. As someone who travels weekly, it's nice to not be jammed into a cookie -cutter hotel.”

  10. “The best thing about No. 5 Maddox is by far its location. Located steps from Oxford Circus and New Bond Street -- all the best shops and restaurants are just a moment away.”
