Delightfully helpful staff in Reception. A printed list of restaurants was useful and the restuarants on it were very good. We would have appreciated the staff having a little more "local knowledge" of for example pubs with good food in Sth Ken and Chelsea, but recognize that this is difficult as their backgrounds were so very varied and several had not been in Sth Ken. for very long! Perhaps the Manager could have a more comprehensive "ref book" in the office or on the computer and staff at the front desk could be given a "tutorial" about the area? We were delighted in the hotel.

Bathrooms were luxurious but bedrooms a bit small by US standards. Very friendly and experienced staff; great location. Our favorite hotel in Europe so far.

Our room faced the street and it was noisy.

Great place we were thoroughly impressed!

the service at no sixteen exceeded all expectations, friendly professional staff, great location, extremely comfortable rooms.would definately stay again.

lovely stay, would go back in a heartbeat...the only thing was the internet should be free in the common area - 4 pounds for 15 minutes is pretty poor, considering how many hotels now offer free access...

I stayed @ Number Sixteen almost 20 years ago & was pleased then and am pleased to have stayed there again. It was lovely! The expansion & updates are wonderfully done and the staff is very efficient & accomodating. They even stored our luggage while we traveled to Amberley for a few days. The area is easy access & has no shortage of places to eat (staff recommendations were good). I would enthusiastically send friends & relatives to Number Sixteen! Personally, I just miss the warm, cozy ambience of the old "library" for drinks.

Overall, it was an excellent stay. the location in South Kensington was perfect access to everything including the tube, great restaurants, shopping and museums. My deluxe single was small, but spotless and the decor very cute. I highly recommend the hotel, but definitely do not try to squeeze two people into a single.

Excellent hotel. Very good service. Nice rooms, but they need blackout curtains (it get's awfully bright at 4 a.m. in summer).

L'hôtel et le service était charmant, les parties communes agréable, seul bémol la chambre était un peu exigüe.

My only complaint is that the air conditioning for my room (located below ground level) did not provide adequate cooling. With the thermostat set at the lowest possible temperature the room was only moderately cool and well above the temperature in the public spaces of the hotel. Maintenence came to check the cooling system and advised that all was ok. The front reception provided a table fan to further cool the temperature of the room.

The service at the hotel was very impressive. I was pleasantly surprised at the standard of single room for the rate. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
