  2. “You won't like it. The service is abnormally good. It will ruin you for the rest of your life with regards to the expectations it will set in you of other hotels: the service is as close to perfect as humanly possible. Besides, if everyone finds out how good this hotel is, it will spoil it for those of us who know.”

  3. “We liked the quiet room, good lighting design and the outstanding staff. I left behind some articles and before I knew they were missing, the staff had informed me via email and made arrangements for their return.”

  4. “Great location (minutes walk to Hyde Park Corner tube although not much near hotel in terms of cafes, shopping, etc.), luxury feel, small and accessible, efficient staff, spacious room and bathroom, plenty of soft fluffy towels and bathrobes and luxurious bathroom products, excellent housekeeping including nightly turn-down service, complimentary daily paper, free wifi, complimentary bottled water supplied daily.”

  5. “When I travl for business, I like to feel that the concierge is my partner. I have to cover a lot of ground in a short amount of time, and the help I get from a good concierge is critical to success. Providing directions, arranging a taxi, faxes and meeting areas all make for a rewarding stay. The conciege at The Halkin did not disappoint, and he was always gracious about my many requests.I went down to see th gym for the first time. While it's fairly basic I think I'll bring my running shoes and workou gear next time to give it a try.Given the global recession, I'm on a tight travel budget, and the price of a room at The Halkin is still within reach and well below the Soho Hotel.”

  8. “The location is excellent, next to Green and Hyde Park, meaning that you can start the days with a nice walk through the Park. I also appreciated being asked about my favorite newspapers and was pleased to then find them on the door each morning. Staff is very friendly.”

  12. “The location is excellent since it is midway between the residential parts of London and yet still convenient to business. We could easily make dinner appointments with friends at their homes even after meeting with lawyers in the late afternoon. The nearest tube stop is two blocks away, and taxis are never a problem either. The bathrooms are fabulous, with a separate tub and a shower stall with a cascade of water flowing from the spout to revive you after the transatalntic flight. More importantly, the public areas are intimate and stylish enought for meeting your team in the morning before going off to make the pitch in the afternoon, as well as for having a drink with your next prospect before going off to dinner and theater at night. I always say that the mark of a good hotel is in the quality of its Concierge, who must be something of a business partner while I am travelling. I need help with directions, livery, dinning and even arranging house gifts before showing up for dinner, and the Concierge(s) at the Halkin doesn't disappoint.”
