“Very pleasant experience. The room was spacious, stylishly decorated. My only suggestion would be that since the hotel offers complimentary breakfast they could provide proper tables and chairs for the guests instead of the couches and coffee tables they provide now. It is a little uncomfortable to take breakfast this way.”

“The reception staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and gave good tips on local restaurants, activities, transport etc. Use of the Ambrose "London Taxi" was an added bonus. My only criticism would be that staff servicing breakfast (continental buffet) were often slow in replacing crockery, ensuring coffee urn full etc and were a little surly when this was pointed out (ie no plates). A few more choices of breakfast spreads for toast would also have been appreciated (not having too sweet a tooth and jam was only option).”

“I loved the hotel! The downstairs study/library area was so cosy and inviting. And the breakfast buffet they provide complimentary was SPECTACULAR! I really liked the health-oriented aspect of the hotel. I felt "at home" and comfortable in this hotel. When I return to LA, I will always try to book at this hotel. It is not pretentious, not too noisy, or "happening". Rooms are comfortable, but not 5 star. I liked it being near the quieter neighborhood. I was able to jog down to the beach each morning, safely...not fighting traffic and cars to cross streets. Great experience!”

“The Ambrose was such a pleasant surprise - a hidden gem right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the hotel itself transported you into a very tranquil and cozy environment that was nice for any business traveler to come home to at the end of a long work day. The all-organic complimentary breakfast was healthy but delicious, and the living room area was as close to home as any hotel can get.”

“Gym was very small with limited facilities. Broadband was excellent. Room was not properly cleaned first day which was disappointing and hanging space was very limited. Overall still very pleasant”
