  4. “The Pool is probably what I enjoyed the most out of my stay. It's got an incredible vibe... cool music, cool people, a vintage feel to it... very Hollywood!Plus they have the best burgers I have tried in my whole life in their casual restuarant, this cool little diner called 25 Degrees that looks out at Hollywood Blvd...Would I stay here again? I definitely would, but only if I was visiting LA in a nightlife-oriented manner: Have drinks at the Tropicana Bar, go to Teddy's, go to sleep once nothing can wake you up (cabana rooms tend to be pretty noisy, especially on weekends), wake up the next day and chill out by the pool all day drinking mojitos until you're ready to start the cycle again. If planning otherwise, I wouldn't recommend staying here.Note: this only concerns the Cabanas by the pool. The tower rooms might be a whole other experience.”

  7. “When I go to a Tablet Hotel, I'm looking for a cool vibe, great people watching, funky architecture and a reasonable price (for all that) -- otherwise I'll just stay at a Marriott which has none of these things. The best part of the Roosevelt is the vibe. Around the pool, in the cabana rooms, well on Friday and Saturday nights it must be the center of the cool universe (or one of them). People are beautiful, vibe it uber-kewl (with a k), and the rooms are inspired. And the fact that it is one of "the" places for old Hollywood makes it even more fun.”

  12. “This is simply THE place to stay for Hollywood glamour. The Roosevelt is a landmark. It was at the Hotel Roosevelt that the 1st Academy Awards ceremony was held in 1929. You walk out the door and you're facing the Chinese Theatre and walking the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Best location! In the Hotel, you have the modern comfort and the old memories. The rooms are modern and they have fantastic photos in the rooms and corridors. From our room we could even see the Hollywood sign in the hills. The swimming pool is great, you can lounge on the chairs and looking up to the tall palm-tress that frame the building - this is where Marilyn Monroe's first magazine shoot was taken, on the diving board of the swimming pool (Marilyn was a resident at the Hollywood Roosevelt for two years when her modelling career took off). The staff is very attentive and genuinely nice! Excellent experience, I would go back any time!”
