“Lovely hotel. To bad they allow kids which makes it rather noisy at the pool. Something you don't expect in a hotel like this. Also very annoying: guests tend to 'reserve'sun loungers and umbrella's at the pool early in the morning. So if you descend to the pool after breakfast the best spots and shadowed places are taken allthough no one actually lies there. They should not allow that and they should invest in more parasols. 5 on 50 sunloungers is way to short. But overall a pleasant hotel on a very lovely spot.”

“The hotel buildings and facilities are excellent (although ADSL doesn't work). However, the restaurant is pitched at such a high standard (and price) you wouldn't want to eat in it every evening. As there is nothing else within walking distance this means a taxi ride every evening. For this reason I would not recommend it to any friends. However, if they added some simpler dishes to the menu I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it - you can't eat fois gras every night !!”

“The room was in need of repair and was a peculiar arrangement as you walked into the bathroom. Beautifully located although rather more than the 4kilometres from Palma as dedscribed.”

“The hotel is beautiful with nicely sized rooms and luxurious bathrooms. The sea view rooms have great views. Breakfast, both the food and the setting, are delightful and this is one of the reasons I go to this hotel. It is a really relaxing way to start the day. The new spa was excellent and the treatments I had (various massages) were very good. The indoor/outdoor pool was particularly welcome in April as it was warm during the day and you wanted a dip but the main outdoor pool was ice cold. Dinner was good and reasonably priced. The hotel is a 5/10 minute drive to Palma and also Portals which is handy for good restaurants/bars etc. We were given a complimentary late check out with was appreciated.”

“We stayed at the Hotel Maricel 3 years ago, and had such a great time that we decided to return this year. Since our last visit they have built a spa area and lots of new rooms over the road. We really wanted to stay in one of the old rooms in the main hotel though, and were lucky enough to get a great room up in the attic. The room had fantastic views and was really spacious. The public spaces and views from the hotel are fantastic. The pool over at the spa area is really nice, and the beds up on the roof terrace of the spa are fantastic - and no-one uses them so it's really peaceful over there.”
