“Our room was terrible. Poor quality and bad design. A friend was upgraded to one of the exec suites and the room was great. The disparity between the two made the hotel feel like a bad deal.”

“When I arrived I was told that I had been upgraded to the "Executive Sixties" suite. It was fabulous.My only complaint was that the water temperature in the shower went from scalding hot to freezing cold.”

“We had a great time. The room was unusual and fun. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was great. We would stay their again if we ever get in the Miami Beach area. We have stayed in more fancy and expensive hotels but this was a neat experience and a fun time.”

“The Pelican Hotel is a gem of a hotel, in a wonderful location, at the hub of the action in South Beach. I cannot fault the hotel in any way. The room was amazing, the staff were extremely helpful, the restaurant served up wonderful food and I would highly recommend The Pelican cocktail! I was worried that I would miss having a pool, but the extremely comfortable and complimentary sun loungers on the beach more than made up for this. The Pelican ticked all the boxes, and at price that was affordable. I cannot imagine a better place to stay in order to experience the sights of SoBe.”

“This is an excellent hotel. We had a fantastic stay. The room was fabulous with a great view of the sea and the action below on Ocean Drive. Everything had been thought of and we loved the nice touches and generous supply of free water. The food is great, especially if you are a vegetarian because you have some choice. The staff are incredibly friendly and efficient. We really could not rate the Pelican and its staff, and our stay more highly if we tried! A note of caution for those who like things quiet - try and get a room away from the Fox cafe side as it gets noisy. Its not unpleasant tho.”

“We LOVED the Pelican. The room we stayed in was small (Flower Power)and we wished the furniture in the room was more functional. The size would have been ok, but the extra furniture was just clutter since it really served no purpose beyond decorative.”

“Very chic hotel with a lively restaurant and excellent location. The rooms are minimalist, with each decorated in a different theme. We were upgraded to a suite that had ocean views. The room had a sitting area up front with the bed and bath in the rear. South beach is a late night area and the hotel bar/restaurant stays open and crowded late. If you are going to stay up late, you won't have any issues. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing experience in the room at night -- try someplace else.”
