  1. “The hotel's lobby and bar are quite trendy, modern with their own style but the rooms are basic and not in line with what one would expect. We checked into a double room that had a very bad mouldy smell, it took a lot of convincing to get the frontdesk to change our room. They sent maintainance who ended up spraying some air refresher in the hallway to hide the smell. Eventually, they did agree to move us, the room was better in smell and style, eventhoug it did smell of freshly glued carapet. The finishing of the rooms, shower, ledg, etc. was quite bad as well. Way too pricy for what it is.”

  4. “The hotel was not as clean or "put together" as other hotels we have found on tablet. Our room was smaller, older and less clean than our expectations. The common areas of the hotel are nice and the staff very friendly but I would not stay at this hotel again.”

  5. “There was no restuarant, because of the impact of Hurricane Katrina, it had closed....The Lobby and bar were beautiful, and the room was very nice....just no room service...otherwise, it was beautiful, and I would stay again.”

  11. “The atmosphere was very unique, more akin to a luxury European hotel, not a cookie cutter American chain hotel. The bar off the lobby was very comfortable, like your own salon at home, with better service! We spent a few evenings between traveling and dinner unwinding in this lounge, seated before a large bay window watching the world go by. The lobby was more of a large room, complete with oversized ottomans and comfortable settees. It was actually the first lobby I have ever sat in to relax a while and felt comfortable. The staff is very accomodating, hiring car service, making reservations, even helping us with baggage and check out at 4AM!The windows in the room are very large and bright, the drapery dramatic. All so romantic. The bathroom was luxurious in Italian Travertine tile and large walk in shower.Beds were remarkably comfortable and linens were ample and nurturing.”
