We had a wonderful stay at Soniat House. Here are the highlights:•The location was central, we easily walked everywhere from here•Rooms were quiet and comfortable and felt like we were embedded into old world New Orleans. They really helped to set the tone for our trip.•The service was there when you needed it and invisible when you didn't.•Loved the shared spaces, having drinks on the balcony as the sun was setting was magical.
Very mixed feelings about Soniat House. The Staff is simply amazing. The rooms are lovely and huge; however they have not been renovated since the 80's. Its a place you would go back time and again if the owners spent money bringing the rooms up to standard. I don't think this should be on Tablet until they do so.
The Soniat House is magical. The atmosphere is rich with history and style. The art, antiques and character of each room is elegant and sophisticated. I wish I could have stayed a couple of weeks. I felt as if I was staying in a family home - it felt safe and serene. I have been staying there for twenty years and can't wait to go back.
Everything. The architecture and decor transported you back in time. Great location, walking distance to everything. Service was wonderful.
