  1. “My room was certainly above average for a NYC hotel room: reasonably spacious, good water pressure, comfortable bed and fairly well finished. The floor-to-ceiling windows afforded a nice view and reinforced the high ceilings.Though the desk was a little cramped, the lightweight multipurpose chair was more comfortable, better scaled and more aesthetically pleasing than the typical nasty hotel task chairs. The immediate location isn't remarkable (festooned with typical random NYC businesses, and the standard LES populace), but does put you within walking distance to a number of solid restaurants with a few blocks or a few minutes further in Nolita or Soho.A nice room and solid option in a neighborhood with few competitive alternatives.”

  3. “Great location, well-designed rooms that have incredibly cool headboards (giant backlit photos), old Fellini films in the elevator, and a delicious new restaurant, Shang.”

  4. “The design, it was everything as described and the photos matched the reality, which doesn't always happen. I also got breakfast by room service. It was absolutely delicious, and HEALTHY!”

  5. “This hotels' location is great, and the overall atmosphere is in line with other boutiques of its type. The bell staff were amazing and the rain shower was a great way to relax after a long day of walking around.”

  10. “The rooms are chic and the bathroom is quite inviting. Large shower, great Kiehls products, comfy robe -- the works as far as hotel bathrooms are concerned. Above Allen is the bar/lounge. It's currently one of NYC's 'it' places to be, especially during the week.”

  12. “The location! LES isn't a touristy area but it's a definitely a good area to hang out in. It's not polished but it's got real soul. There are some excellent places to eat and drink and if you like live music then the Living Room and the Rockwood Music Hall are two of the best venues in the city. And it's a short walk to SoHo and Greenwich. The concierge team were excellent. They made good recommendations on places to eat and drink and organised restaurants and theatre. They were everything you expect at a top hotel. The monsoon shower in the bathroom was the saving grace of the room - the perfect way to freshen up after a night out that ended near dawn.”
