  1. “This is one of the finest hotels I have stayed in--excellent staff, very polite, finest linens. It was perfection.”

  2. “The hotel itself is a great, and grand, building with well-equiped rooms and public spaces. The view from our room was exceptional, looking straight up to Empire State. The hotel experience was spoilt by a few small factors. Poor concierge service as they failed to even response to an email request for a hair booking, and never made the booking when chased on arrival. The doormen left guests to struggle with the ddors themselves and the public spaces were roped-off in a less than welcoming fashion.”

  4. “BATHROOM WAS TOO SMALL AND CRAMPED CONSIDERING THE REST OF THE QUALITY OF THE HOTEL.”

  5. “The Soho Grand was nice, but I wouldn't recommend it for a business trip. The people were friendly, but seemed young and inexperienced, hence if I need something, I had to wait in lines, etc. It turned out to be more of an inconvenience than anything. I would however recommend it for a young couple looking to stay in a nicer hotel in the Soho area. The coffee on each floor was a plus and the room service was good.”

  6. “The room 1630 had a great view of the Tribeca Film Center, high floor. Small room but to be expected in New York City. Only issue was the hallways which were obviously freshly painted with latex paint. There was a very strong paint odor that lingered, it was kind of overbearing at times. We had cocktails and appetizers at the bar which was packed. The cocktail waitress was pleasant but not always attentive. The hostess was also not very engaged. The front desk check-in however was seamless and and efficient. Overall good value for $289 rate.”

  7. “I was rather disappointed. My room was poorly laid out (for example there were no open outlets near the too small desk & one had to turn the flat screen so that it almost fell off the dresser in order to watch TV from the bed). While the front desk staff and concierge were friendly and professional, the housekeeping staff needs work. Neither my nor my business partner's bathroom were well cleaned, in fact his toilet even had a "gift" from the room's previous occupant. It seems to me that the Soho Grand is riding on it's reputation rather than than trying to maintain or improve it.”

  8. “While the rooms at the Soho Grand were fine and the public spaces and location are excellent, we were extremely disappointed in the terrible, non-existent service from the staff. No one opened the lobby doors when we arrived or directed us to check-in upstairs. Once we found our way upstairs and checked in, no one volunteered to deliver our bags to our room - we were pointed in the direction of the elevator and left to carry our multiple bags ourselves. I left an expensive gift with the desk staff for a friend to pick up - they told her they didn't have it and told her to call Tribeca Grand”

  9. “Actually, this place seems to be getting better. Some of the rooms seem to have been refitted and there has defintely been an improvement in the service level. Plus, it's tough to beat the location.”

  12. “No snobs here! The food, staff and services were excellent. The rooms were small as they all are in NY, it was tastefully decorated. Awesome neighboorhood with subway right around the corner. I would be hesitant to stay anywhere else unless it was at her sister hotel, Tribeca Grand.”
