  1. “Wonderful, romantic boutique hotel. The only complaint Is how small the room is (but that's typical for NYC).”

  2. “liked the room a lot. location was handy. it was nice to be set back from the street, and to have a view of the restaurant from the room.”

  3. “The Maritime New York is good value for money by the standards of boutique style hotels. It is stylish, comfortable and has good facilities. Its location is also good - out of the hurly burly of central Manhatten, but only a few blocks away from Soho and Greenwich Village. Rooms are showing signs of wear now, and the restaurant service is pleasant but haphazard and slow.”

  6. “full of fashionistas and at times a rather cruisy vibe but it was professional and efficient,. Room and bathroom was much nicer (and more spacious) than i was expecting - overall my new fave hotel in NY.”

  7. “The hotel is located in a convenient area. The rooms are very small and the dark wood paneling and round window make you feel as if you really are in a ship. The amenities and service are great. I loved the C.O. Bigelow products. The restaurant/bar downstairs got a bit loud. Overall it was a good experience.”

  8. “Hotel is excellent. Rooms not very large, but very well designed. Who wouldnt like a giant porthole full of sunshine? Public spaces and two restgaurants and a club below make it a great place to hang, or meet friends. But the best thing they do all this in a small boutigue hotel setting. love hotels built on a former business site.”

  10. “The really nice thing about the maritime is that they were not pushy about their presence-didn't try to turn down the bed, didn't try to take our bags. We are younger, less interested in being served types, but like the ammenities and qualities of nice hotels (i.e. firm beds, noise reduction, quality shampoo). The Maritime was perfect!”
