Great use of an historic building. An über-funky neighborhood that feels so much more "Rio" than the beach areas. Fantastic staff. Beautiful views over the city.

Nice communal areas. Great bar area.

The location in quaint Santa Teresa is excellent -- near craft shops, restaurants and pleasant cafes. The hotel has a sophisticated yet rustic style with a beautiful view over Santa Teresa. As a Tablet Plus member, I was upgraded to a Junior suite which had a beautiful spa bathroom and sweeping views.

Absolutely gorgeous, and tucked away high up on a hill in Rio overlooking all the action. I liked being in Santa Teresa (super cute area) more than amid the beach mayhem. We still got up with the birds one morning and took a taxi to Copacabana for a sunrise stroll.

L'emplacement a l'ecart de la ville, l'endroit discret, le personnel souriant, competent, ouvert et non-obsequieux.

The Santa Teresa was truly an oasis amid the hustle and bustle of Rio. The pool was serene and – especially in the summer heat – a respite from the sightseeing and distractions within the city. The staff were always warm and helpful, even with a language barrier.

Rooms and restaurant are excellent.

Contemporary sexy decor with a genuine sense of place. Breakfast was excellent with exotic local fruits, fresh pastries and attentive service.
