“As it was once a private residence, staying here provides a glimpse of what life would have been like for a wealthy family living in Rio in decades past. The neighbourhood is once again fashionable, and within walking distance of Ipanema. The view from my room was beautiful and the hotel so small (really more a guest house than a boutique hotel), that you will certainly meet the very few other guests at breakfast, as it is served around a large dining table.”

“Hotel is basically a nice house on a quiet street in Gavea. You are within walking distance of the Botanical Garden and some great restaurants, and a cab fare to other parts of the city is not too pricey either. The service is the best part of the experience because I felt like I was staying in a friend's house. The team is very friendly and relaxed, which sets a great mood for the hotel. The food and drinks, especially the breakfast, were fantastic.”
