It's such an intimate hotel with very few rooms, which made it feel cozy. It was like having our own apartment in Rome.

Gigli d'Oro is a gem of a boutique hotel in the heart of historic Rome, a two minute walk from Piazza Navona. The owner, Emiliano, and his staff were very attentive to details and their welcome was very warm and personalised. They gave me excellent advice for restaurants, not your run of the mill tourist destinations. The room was absolutely charming, comfortable and quiet. A laptop was provided in the room as well as wifi Internet. The breakfast area also has an open bar if you want to help yourself to a drink and a small snack in the evening. The breakfast is basic, bread, jam, cheese etc, but the croissants were to die for. The staff will also serve you as many espressos as you want, anytime. The hotel doesn't have a real restaurant but Rome is full of them so I didn't mind at all. I highly recommend this hotel and I can't wait to go back.

Fantastic location, very central but still quiet and intimate.

Just lovely, wonderful customer service.I actually booked our room for the wrong day (not factoring in the overnight flight- dumb!) and the managers let me switch to the three right days when we were there. We expected to pay for the night we missed (as most hotels would have you do), but Giusy and Giorgio were so kind and gracious to let us switch. We were so grateful!Spacious rooms with modern feel.Excellent location.Prosecco upon arrival and available every evening!

We stayed in three Tablet choices on our Italian holiday and this was ourr top pick (they were all excellent!). The location, style, service - you name it - exceeded our expectations! Beautiful room with great storage, gorgeous (!!) bathroom made it a very comfortable stay. Steps from Piazza Navona, the Pantheon and an easy walk to the Vatican. The staff was very professional, tending to every need and also friendly and fun to deal with. Loved the small breakfast bar that converts to a complimentary afternoon lounge - perfect to regroup and relax after a day in Rome. Free wifi and also a laptop in the room - what a nice touch!

this is a great way to stay in Rome--great location, no frills and very comfortable. If you do not need a gym, spa, or concierge why pay for them? Actually the very nice person who checked us in, rebooked our dinner at a restaurant he recommended which was terrific. So you still get the personal concierge service.

The staff was very nice (Max and Silvia), the location was the best (5 to 15 minutes to all piazzas and monuments) and the room was very nice.
