“The Waterhouse esthetic is very pleasing if you like an industrial design atmosphere. The re-purposing of the warehouse was authentic, conceptual and still the feel was luxurious. Think Ace hotel with more minimalism. My room had a loft bed in the middle of it with a desk built into the platform, 6 feet up from the floor, a glass wall separated it form the bathroom. Although small I felt like a princess on a throne. Clever use of space. The Manager Thomas was friendly and engaging. The in house body lotion was incredible - so much so that I asked someone to pick up some for me once I ran out. Thomas gave them a bag full and I use it every day. The smell brings me back to my days in China in such a delightful way.”

“The service was above expectations -- they accommodated every request and made sure my stay was as smooth as can be. In particular, I appreciated them figuring out which terminal in Pudong Airport I needed to get to and made sure that my taxi driver knew where to go (I wasn't even aware that there were multiple terminals).”

“Fab hotel, outside a rough thirties warehouse, inside elegant and full of vintage and contemporary design. Exciting roofterrace overlooking the river and Pudong. Also the kitchen and the menu is full of creativity! City beach on the doorstep. Will come back for sure.”
