  3. “The room was enormous and very tastefully done. Very comfortable bed and linens. Attentive staff. The overall vibe of the hotel is hip. The only drawback is the location. It's nice that it's on the water, but one has to be careful walking about in the neighborhood. There are still a lot of housing authority domiciles and homeless people wandering about once you leave the main road where the hotel is located.”

  4. “The room was immaculate- spacious, nicely decorated, with a wonderful writing desk/work space. The bathroom was also a delight, as it included a deep bathtub, shower that miraculously did not steam the mirror, Aveda bath products, and interesting "amenities". The staff could not have been more attentive or helpful. Although there was a nice cafe across the street and the touristy "Harry's Café De Wheels" next door, restaurants and cafes were scarce and the location was a bit out of the way and difficult to get to from many parts of the city. That said, Blue was hedonistic pleasure. Wonderful!”

  6. “As other hotels in similar locations, Blue has kept the "working pier" look throughout the hotel, with iron girders traversing the rooms and some of the original machinery, giving it a trendy feel, which isn't disproved by the pumping music from the center-section bar, and the beautiful people that frequent it. All in all a pleasant experience. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone with a statement to make.”

  7. “The hotel was pleasant with small but well designed rooms. The breakfast in the cafe was slow arriving but good. We had a problem with the hotel charging us for breakfast even though we had a B&B rate. However this was eventually resolved after numerous phonecalls with a refund a week later.”

  8. “I loved the huge bed and the sheets and the whole loft style. It was so warm cosy and inviting, made me feel at home ( at a very nice home) It felt like i was on a luxury yaht, i had a very peacful sleep, considering i usually get insomnia. I had no problem going to sleep. I have already recommended to friends. :)”

  11. “The Hotel is perfectly sited for sight seeing without being in the touristy Rocks area and the wharf boasts a number of extremely good restauraunts, particularly "Otto's". The Hotel really enhanced our stay with great design features, bathroom products, minibar and service.”

  12. “I was a bit dissappointed in the room at the Blue Sydney. The place itself was great from the outside and the public spaces were terrific (including the restaurants). The room itself had a bit of a mildew smell, the bathroom shower curtain was disgusting, the water in the shower spilled all over the bathroom. Also, they charged us for 3 items from the mini bar after we had checked out and we certainly didn't even touch the mini bar. We had to take the time to call back and ensure that they credit our card back for the extra $68 that they tried to charge us for the mini bar.”
