  2. “Found out about Claska thru "The Cut" newsletter which I have come to rely on. I heard rumors staff could be very cold, but I found them to be extraordinarily friendly. My only reservation about recommending the hotel to friends is the location. I lived in Tokyo for 4 years, so it was not a problem for me. (Plus I was there for business meetings, primarily.) For someone inexperienced w/Tokyo who wants to do lots of tourism w/frequent pitstops at hotel; not a good choice.”

  3. “The decor and atmosphere of the hotel was very good especially for those going not wishing to stay at your usual corporate-like hotel. In particular, I must commend the exceptional service provided by the staff. They were extremely helpful and personal with their service, remembering the details of my trip/stay. I really really enjoyed my stay there.”

  5. “The smoking allowed in the rooms and the distance from the train station were the only drawbacks for the Claska. The staff is great! they went all out with their own guide and helped us endlessly to find anything we needed in Tokyo and beyond. We tried almost every item on the hotel perks menu, which I think very few people do, and they were super happy and had fun helping us try it all. As a first time visitor, I'm not sure we'd recommend this meguro location. Having been to Tokyo a few times before, it was refreshing to stay in a more developing, residential, and laid back neighborhood. We would definitely stay again, especially if next time the bikes are available!”

  7. “The service was exemplary at the Claska! Whilst the rooms were spacious and well appointed, it was the staff that were excellent and made our experience even more special. From the reception desk staff to the cleaners, everyone was extremely polite and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tokyo.”

  8. “Good value - really interesting and unique placeLoved the retro stylings of our room, especially the Danish (or Danish-inspired) furniture (wanted to take it home)Fantastic beds (very comfortable and great pillows too)Effiecient, helpful service from front-desk (although English a little limited)Cool bathroom.Interesting breakfast options (and well-priced, especially the 'Claska Breakfast')Coffee was good Interesting area (for a change, we usually stay in Shibuya)Good area for walking/jogging close-by along the river (although staff didn't suggest it when we asked for suggestions, we found it ourselves. Good find for a serious power-strut.)”

  9. “The hotel is located in the very trendy and very quirky suburb of Meguro. If we hadn't chosen to stay in Claska, we would not have gone through the trouble of travelling to Meguro, but how happy am I that we did! the hotel is so trendy and neat and beautiful and there is a guidebook of suggestions that is supplied at the hotel that was just unbelievable and contained really cool suggestions for shops and restaurants in the area. The toiletries (marks & webb) was fantastic and also the bar and the doggie parlour, Dogman, in the foyer - awesome touch! I loved everything about this hotel and highly reccommend it. Remember to travel to Gakugai-deigaku station. The hotel is easily accessible from this station.”

  10. “la generale pulizia e cortesia che e ben conosciuta ma ogni volta sorprende, il pranzo, semplice ma di qualita, il servizio che informano a proposito di quello che si trova nei dintorni e non i soliti posti che tutti gli hotel consigliano”

  11. “Hotel Claska is a quiet oasis in the middle of buzzling Tokyo. You are surrounded by serenity the moment you step inside. The staff is very nice and helpful. And the rooms, the rooms are the best! Huge, tastefully decorated and with wonderful amenities!”

  12. “The rooms at the Claska are wonderful. The size for Japan is just great and unusually big. The amenities, bathrooms, design and room furnishings are very cool, clean, new and spacious. Lots of good karma (energy). The hotel staff are more than helpful. They assisted us by phone to order food from a menu from a restaurant that we were sitting in that only had a menu written in Japanese and non english speaking staff. What service!!! "WOW"”
