The rooms were large for Tokyo, with a bed so huge you almost needed a taxi to get to the other side. The staff were so friendly and helpful, recommending some excellent restaurants. They made the best coffees in Tokyo, and the design and atmosphere of the hotel was beautiful.

The hotel service was outstanding! They made us feel welcomed and special. We will definitely be returning to this hotel.

This time we swapped to room 504, one of the Western rooms, and had our semi-double beds put together to make a frankly huge bed that could sleep four people!!! This room was wonderfully decorated with lovely, retro teak furniture, and was very warm and cosy.Over two nights we had a completely contrasting stay, but both the tatami mat rooms and the more international type rooms are fabulous. Seriously recommended.

The Claska has a very welcoming feeling from the moment you step into the lobby. It's very cool and boutiquey, but with a dining cafe/bar in the lobby and a dog grooming parlour, there's a buzz about the place. Our room was fantastic (605 - Modern Japanese), with lovely design touches like the Seiko alarm clock we're now searching for! And delicious green tea. And extremely comfortable beds.

Room was extra-large. Well-designed bathroom; heated towel bars, fantastic toiletries. Interior design and lighting was pretty. Beds were large and super comfy. Room was very quiet and lounge/restaurant area and patio were all good-looking and nice to hang out in. Staff was gracious, always attentive. Cool neighborhood between the G.D. above-ground train stop and the hotel.

Lovely design. Though I had to settle for a smaller room for the first night, I have to admit it had its charm. I stayed in one of the big rooms with huge balcony for the rest of the time, and the room was very lovely and luxurious and -- most of all -- huge. The service was excellent as it always is in Japan, but with the additional benefit of the staff's fluency in English. The surrounding area should be on the list of anyone interested in interior design, with many lovely shops and hidden treasures.

Claska is very cool but not pretentious. The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful without the kind of obsequiousness you get in some Asian hotels. Some beautiful design objects available in the shop and creators space at Claska. Overall its a very well designed and run operation. If only it wasn't so out of the way!

I really loved how you were able to engage with the local arts scene here. There was so much amazing talent on display in the gallery and shop with two different exhibitions to admire. The food at the restaurant was also of an excellent quality and it was a really good atmosphere to hang out at the Claska.
