This museum features an amazing view of the Hudson River and beautiful works from medieval Europe.

The journey is a lovely winding walk through the park to the Rockafeller's Medival Art Museum. Even if you aren't an art buff the experience of the high ceiled, stone architecture and the colorful gardens is inspiring.

If you've got the time, head up to the 'other' Met - it's an old convent on the Northeast end of Manhattan. The collection isn't especially interesting unless you've a penchant for medieval art, but the building is fantastic. Take the time to hike back down the Hudson before jumping back on the subway around 96th street - you won't be sorry. It's a part of the city that most visitors never see, and it's well worth the trip.
