“An above ground park along the west side that goes along the old train tracks. It's a great escape in this bustling city and is beautifully designed with just the right mix of grunge (thought the meat packing district) and class.”

“Unfortunately too many people now know about this but it's a wonderful walkway above the city that has been beautifully planted and is a real oasis. We were lucky to be there on an absolutely gorgeous day in June with the temperature in the 70s. The plants are native to the region but they are not necessarily species that one sees frequently. Seating spaces and splashes of interesting art are also quite wonderful. Combined with a walk/run/bicycle ride in Central Park in the early morning or early evening and you can understand how green a city can be.”
