Lively atmosphere with great service, surprisingly affordable, an amazing selection of beer, sake and non-sushi Japanese comfort foods. Even though there is usually a wait it still feels like a secret! Best late night eats in Midtown.
Hagi is one of my all time favorite restaurants in New York. There are lots of different types of Sake, and the food is addictive! I highly recommend the pork belly (pork belly skewers or the pork belly with cabbage), the "Japanese Pancake" (very filling - beware! It's delicious, though) and the shrimp with chili sauce. Great menu, great staff, and great time.
