The Astronomical Clock represents a unique Gothic monument, its oldest astronomical and astrological part situated in the centre comes from 1410. Despite later adjustments and additions a functional clock machine is still there. The timepiece is one of the earliest depictions of the heavens in motion, interpreting the movements of the sun, the moon and stars, all of which rotate around the earth. The 12 apostles appear every hour between 9:00AM and 9:00PM.
