A recent rennovation work of Kengo Kuma, a pioneer of Japanese-modern style of architecture. Japanese wood texture and simple materials match perfectly here. There is a traditional Japanese garden at the back side of museum building and cafe.

Nezu museum is a private collection of the owner of a train company. Many owners of train companies have their own museum in Tokyo and most of them were into tea ceremony and major part of their collections are arts related tea ceremony. Building of Nezu Museum is Ultara modern (desinged by Kengo Kuma) and has great Japanese garden. Their contrast is really great. The venue is close to Prada builiding, which is also eye-opening.

Wonderfully designed "boutique" art museum with a large garden and tea house. http://www.nezu-muse.or.jp/en/index.html
