The setting for the Lost in Translation iconic scenes. Great food, superb (but pricey) wine list with lots of North American varieties to choose from. The selling points have to be the view and the ambience though. Extremely romantic/hedonistic. A must-do on a visit to Tokyo. Beware - there are 2 Hyatt hotels in Tokyo - make sure you go the Park in Shinjuku!

Yes, it may seem like it could be a cheesy place -- after all, it was made famous by a Hollywood flick. On top of it, as a Tokyo-born New Yorker I had a very hard time convincing myself to give a chance to a place called a "New York Bar" in my native city. I'm glad my friends forced me to go though -- it is indeed a fantastic place. The ambiance is lively but relaxed, upscale yet friendly. The view, of course, is unparalleled, especially at dusk. I've been back here more than a couple of times since then and recommend anyone that's on his/her way to Tokyo to head over.

Gorgeous space usually offering live music. There is a cover to eat/drink there after about 6:00pm I think, but I love this spot.
