Located on the eastern edge of Toronto's downtown Chinatown district, the museum houses more than 68,000 works spanning the 1st century to the present-day. It includes an extensive collection of Canadian art, European art and one of the most significant collections of African art in North America.
Founded in 1900, the Art Gallery of Ontario is a warm and cozy place enjoyed by locals and tourists alike. The Museum collection includes African and Oceanic, Contemporary, European, Photography, Prints and Drawings, and Education arts along with an extensive collection of Canadian art. The new, multi-level shop at AGO features books, prints, jewelery, and one-of-a-kind gifts.
