What I liked:

Awesome location, great historic building.

What the hotel could do better:

Service is not really up to the price tag, there appears to be some ' attitude' with the crew, for example, a reservation in the restaurant was impossible, understandable, but they did not go the extra mile to over an alternative. Another mayor hinderence, we were staying in a room over the restaurant, every day at 5:30 in the morning they would start to clean up the restaurant including vacuuming and moving the tables around: both me and my partner woke up every day due to the noise!!!

10 Favorite this hotel — to remember it, to save it to your wish list, or simply to express yourself

Hotel Description

It’s been a while since the New Sheridan Hotel was actually new — 1895, to be precise, which, in Colorado terms, is something like the late Middle Ages. That, obviously, is the key to its appeal: if you want to see what sets Telluride apart from the Rockies’ bigger, busier resort towns, there’s nowhere better to start than a hotel with a generous helping of historic charm, right smack in the middle of this picturesque little downtown, dominated by the looming peaks in the middle distance.

With 32 rooms and suites the New Sheridan keeps things cozy. The Deluxes come with king beds or two twins, and the suites add a sitting room to the mix. They’ve kept pace with the growing public demand for luxurious touches, with heated bathroom floors, in-room spa treatments and a pair of hot tubs on the rooftop. The interior-facing rooms are the most affordable, but the views are worth having — Telluride might be the most photogenic town in the Mountain West.

The New Sheridan Bar has been a Telluride favorite for just about as long as there’s been a Telluride, and the Chop House goes straight for the Colorado classic dry-aged steaks. And while this town is a natural winter classic, it’s scarcely less inviting in summer, which means the New Sheridan is far more than just a ski lodge.

How to get there:

The New Sheridan Hotel is located in the center of town which is approximately 6 miles from Telluride Regional Airport and 70 miles from Montrose Regional Airport. Please contact CustomerService@TabletHotels.com for questions regarding airport transfers.
