抱歉，本酒店描述暂无中文版本。 First, just to satisfy your curiosity: yes, CuisinArt is owned by the same guys who chop your carrots extra-fine. But no, the resort does not look like it would belong in your grandma’s cupboard. Rising out of Anguilla, one of the more unspoiled islands of the Caribbean, is a taste of Greece, blindingly whitewashed, with the heady scent of jasmine hanging in the air. But Greece CuisinArt-style has more post-modern, fashion magazine glamour than any real Aegean village. A well-groomed clientele plays bocce on the well-groomed grounds and the staff wander about spritzing water on sunbathers and serving up fruited ice.
Pampering is appropriately, and divinely, classical. Milk, honey and almond baths at the spa will make you feel quite the Aphrodite. Not surprisingly, CuisinArt has been a hit with the chic crowd. Many guests are former Cap Juluca regulars, who, when the aforementioned was leveled by a hurricane, took tearful refuge in CuisinArt’s then-newly built walls. For, like the Cap, CuisinArt is the perfect Caribbean—the Caribbean minus the pink-skinned, underdressed cruise ship crowd. It’s also the perfect Greece—Greece minus the sticky retsina. CuisinArt takes the best elements of the Mediterranean and the Caribbean to sublimely surreal heights.
If you thought that it was impossible to dine well in this part of the world, trust CuisinArt to prove you wrong. After all, it’s brought to you by the same people who invented our most indispensable kitchen utensil. And what they’ve done for dicing and chopping, they’ve done for Caribbean food. The cuisine at CuisinArt is Mediterranean with a Caribbean flair, but artfully perfected by imported items like foie gras, local seafood like spiny lobster, and, most importantly, sumptuous vegetables that are hydroponically grown—enormous lettuces, Nigerian yellow peppers. Small wonder that so many of those former Cap Juluca regulars are staying right where they are.
How to get there: CuisinArt Resort is a 15-minute drive from Wallblake Airport. Taxis ($16-25USD) are the only way to get from the airport to the resort. Rental cars are available but are picked up at the hotel, rather than the airport.
