What is it about hotels, anyway? They do a pretty good job of keeping the rain off you while you sleep, which is nice, but there must be more to it than that — no sane person would spend a decade or more maintaining a website devoted to showcasing the world's most extraordinary tarps, tents, bivouacs and lean-tos. It's a question we here at Tablet have asked ourselves more than a few times over the years: just what is it about hotels that makes this obsession of ours seem relatively normal?
We'll be the first to admit they aren't literally the most important thing in the world. (Depending on how you rank things, they might come in as low as fourth or fifth place.) That's where we come in. We are the original hotel curation site, and believe there's more to hotels than just the data you can quantify, like price, location, and amenities. We've looked at every hotel in the world over the last 15 years so that we can give you a short list of the luxury & boutique hotels that have taste and soul, across a range of prices and styles....Learn more about Tablet →
